Let's Represent Event

Afemai Children's Trust are holding our Let's Represent event on Monday 24th October at Wakefield Town Hall from 11am till 3pm.
The event is part of Black History Month celebrations and will encourage participation and learning through workshops, local speakers and performances.
Let's Represent is the name of our year long project funded through the Heritage Lottery. The project will explore how Africans in Wakefield have impacted on the city's heritage through an exciting programme of exhibitions, lectures, elders' oral history projects, youth events and school workshops.
This event will also look at the project in more detail and is a time for the local community to get involved.
Please join us on the 24th October for an exciting day with lots of food and entertainment.
